Good Friends

Kyle, Mimo and Eli came to visit on Saturday. It was so fun to see Eli--it had been about 4 months since we last saw him. He is almost exactly one year younger than Zeke and holding him made me miss my baby boy. It will be fun when the boys are a little bit older and can play together. They are going to have so much fun.

German Pancakes

I woke up in the middle of the night with a serious craving for some German Pancakes. I have never actually had them, but read about them on one of my favorite food blogs, Smitten Kitchen. So, when Zeke woke me up at 5:45 this morning, I was okay with it. I saw it as an opportunity to make some of this delectable goodness...

Oh so delicious.

Zeker was a big fan.

Sam was all about the powdered sugar.

I will definitely make these again.

Hello World!

We Westras are not the most technologically advanced family. We got our first DVD player in 2004 from a friend who was going to throw his away. Over the course of 8 years of marriage, we have spent more than a few years without a cell phone. We just learned to text a few months ago. So I guess it should come as no surprise that we are just now entering the blogosphere.

Since I am now joining the world of full-time stay at home moms I thought I should make it official and start a family blog. It will give me the chance to make my life with an 18 month old sound interesting and exciting--more like a really fun ride at Disneyland than a never ending attempt to keep the house clean, have dinner ready on time and use the bathroom without company. So, here we go.
