Pumpkin Head

Our first family pumpkin carving experience was mostly a success. Zeke loves the pumpkin heads popping up around our neighborhood, so he seemed somewhat interested when I told him we would have one, too. He was fascinated with the knife, of course, and even helped with the design. His favorite part, though, was seeing it all lit up at the end.
Checking out the pumpkin seeds.
He heard Jeff say we were going to bake the seeds, so...

he decided to help us get started.

He was a little bored halfway through the cleaning process and started to get on Jeff's back and neigh like a horse.

He also really liked trying to put the lid perfectly into place.

This was right before he knocked the lit pumpkin onto the carpet and I screamed like Grandma Evelyn.

We took so many pictures and he would NOT smile.

Until Jeff told him we would give him ice cream if he did.
